Angel Award Categories for 2012

Awards will be presented for:

  • the best rescue or repair of a historic place of worship
  • the best rescue of a historic industrial building or site
  • the best craftsmanship employed on a heritage rescue, and
  • the best rescue of a listed building, scheduled monument, registered garden, landscape or battlefield, protected wreck or conservation area.

The search is on to find winners for this year’s English Heritage Angel Awards, the annual competition backed by Andrew Lloyd Webber to reward the efforts of local people in saving their heritage. People are invited to step into the limelight, apply themselves, on behalf of a group or to nominate others!

This year’s Angel Awards will be bigger and better than ever with the search extended to include Grade II buildings and sites which have been at risk. For full press release see here or go straight to the website for details on how to apply here.
